BR Bridle Southam Black/White

This symmetrical bridle made of high-quality European leather has an E-Line headpiece. This anatomically shaped headpiece is softly padded and, thanks to its round shape, provides extra freedom behind the horse's ears. The curved browband is inlaid with silver colored crystals from Swarovski® and padded with soft leather. The throatlatch is adjustable on both sides. Both the throatlatch and the cheekpieces are made of round-stitched leather. The cheekpieces are fitted with blind closures. The bridle has a wide, combined crank noseband (approx. 4 cm) with round stitched straps. The noseband is rounded, softly padded and fitted with a wide, softly padded jaw protector. Thanks to the anatomical shape, more space is created for the bit rings. The bridle has a V-shaped flash strap loop and the buckle of the flash strap has an extra protective flap. The purpose of a combined noseband:
The most famous noseband is the combined noseband, which consists of a high & low noseband. The low noseband, also called flash strap, prevents the mouth from opening and ensures stability of the bit. This construction was conceived to maintain the effect of a low noseband, but also to have the option of attaching a fixed martingale. Without a flash strap, only a high noseband remains. The high part of the noseband should be placed about two fingers below the cheekbone. The point where both nosebands meet should never lie on the soft part of the nose.
