When do you give a detox?

In the wild, horses provide their own detox. In the spring and autumn, horses themselves look for herbs with a cleansing effect. The special thing is that it is precisely then that these grow, so that the body can properly break down and dispose of (accumulated) waste products. Spring and autumn are therefore ideal for a detox. Your horse will go into winter 'clean' if you can clean up all the waste from the past year. DetoxMix supports the cleansing effect of the liver and optimal kidney function thanks to the powerful herbs. It also supports proper decomposition and removal of (accumulated) waste. It is therefore a good 'cleaner' if your horse has been dewormed, has had (a lot of) medicines such as antibiotics and painkillers or is sensitive to summer jitters. How do you give DetoxMix?

You give DetoxMix daily for a course of 2-3 weeks so that your horse is optimally supported in the spring and autumn. The chunks can be mixed with the regular feed of your horse or pony, but can also be added to a mash. Then give the slobber immediately after mixing with DetoxMix.

Feeding advice

You give 10 grams of DetoxMix per 100 kg of body weight.

Horse 600kg: 60g per day
Pony 400-600kg: 40-60g per day
Pony 150-300kg: 15-30g per day

You can safely feed DetoxMix to pregnant mares. A full measuring cup contains 80 g, until the mark is 50 grams.

What is the difference between DetoxMix and OerBalans?

OerBalans naturally also contains herbs, but also vitamins and minerals. This makes it an indispensable long-term daily supplement. DetoxMix is a powerful herbal cure with 95% herbs that you feed for a maximum of 2-3 weeks. For horses with summer jitters, for example, it can be very difficult to overcome the jitters. That is why proper waste disposal is very important. A good metabolism and good disposal of waste products are also indispensable for horses that have had many medicines. You can combine DetoxMix and OerBalans. If you have been giving OerBalans for a longer period of time, an extra detox may not be necessary, but you can certainly give it as an extra clean-up treatment. If you do not feed OerBalans all year round, the DetoxMix can give an extra health boost in between.
