GastroComplex has been specially developed for horses with a sensitive stomach. It protects against the effects of stress, protects the stomach wall and contains buffers to maintain a normal acidity in the stomach. The complex of soothing and buffering ingredients ensures the maintenance of a good acidity in the stomach. The gastric mucosa is also protected and softened thanks to the herbal extracts.

How does a sensitive stomach develop?

A horse's stomach constantly produces stomach acid to aid in the digestion of food. Saliva neutralizes the acidic gastric juice. A horse only produces saliva by chewing. If the stomach is empty for a long time or little saliva is produced, the stomach acid can affect the stomach wall, which is very painful. Stress also affects the stomach. Stress reduces blood flow to the stomach wall, making it even more sensitive to stomach acid. It is therefore very important to prevent stress and that horses can eat small amounts throughout the day, so that sufficient saliva is produced.
