The anatomically shaped Sweet Iron bits from Waldhausen are characterized by a mouthpiece adapted to the horse's mouth. Sweet Iron consists of blue steel, on contact with (air) moisture it starts to oxidize and a sweetish brown-grey surface rust forms. This stimulates the horses' saliva production. They start to foam better, which increases bite acceptance.
