Virbac Deworming Paste Vitaminthe Dog and Cat

Vitaminthe is an oral, broad-spectrum anthelmintic in paste form for dogs and cats. Niclosamide has specific activity against tapeworms and oxibendazole fights both adult and larval stages of roundworms, whipworms and hookworms. The combination of both active ingredients in this paste makes Vitaminthe suitable for use in dogs and cats of all ages
Precautions
* Vitaminthe is hardly absorbed, resulting in maximum concentration and effectiveness in the gastrointestinal tract.
An empty gastrointestinal tract also promotes effectiveness.
* Tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum) are transmitted by fleas. Reinfestation is prevented by applying a thorough flea control at the same time as deworming.
* Due to possible hypersensitivity reactions, direct skin contact should be avoided during application: wear gloves when applying.
Method of Administration/Dosage
Vitaminthe should be administered in a single dose on the back of the animal's tongue. The required amount can also be mixed with some food.

General dosage:
1 ml per 2 kg body weight (corresponding to 15 mg oxibendazole and 120 mg niclosamide/kg.)
Pregnant animals: During pregnancy, deworming is of little use, as it does not reach the larvae in the body. After birth, the puppies or kittens should be dewormed at the same time as the first treatment. After this, deworm each time together with the young animals.
Puppies: At 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age and every 2 months until they are six months old.
Kittens: At 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age and every 2 months until they are six months old.
All other dogs and cats: De-worm twice a year and if worms are observed in faeces and/or vomit.

Due to the risk of spitting up/vomiting shortly after administration, this should be avoided on carpet or other textiles. If this does happen, clean as soon as possible with only clean water without cleaning agents.

Niclosamide 240mg
Oxibendazole 30mg
Excipient up to 1 ml
