The gag bit is ideal for young horses due to the pressure distribution or spirited horses to prevent the bit from being pulled through the mouth. With the TRUST snaffle bit, the bars on the jawpiece are slightly bent outwards so that they cannot come into contact with the side of the horse's head. It is therefore important that you hang the bit in your mouth with the bars pointing outwards, so that they cannot cause wounds.
