Double the Comfort
This elliptical (double-jointed) mouthpiece has two hinges, fitting snugly in your horse's mouth. It applies pressure on the tongue, bars, and corners of the mouth. Just be careful with horses that have narrow lower jaws; the hinge points might press on the bars, possibly causing sores. Compared to a single jointed bit, this type applies more pressure on the tongue.
