Sweet Taste
Over time, this bit develops rusty spots. Now, don't worry - this isn't a bad thing. These rusty bits taste sweet to horses. Your horse will drool more, making the bit more comfortable. The blue of the bit changes to grey/brown with the rust. It's quite clever, really!
How to Clean It
Not using the bit for a while or storing it in a damp place? You might spot some orange rust. No biggie! Just give it a wipe with a damp cloth, and you’re good to go.
