Horseflies are a constant nuisance, especially in the period May - October. When they feed on blood, their aggressive stings are considered to be very painful.

It is not a pleasant feeling for both animals (such as horses, cows) and people. The H-trap reduces the horsefly population to an absolute minimum. Tests show that a reduction rate of 90–95% of horseflies around the H-stage can be achieved.
This result is achieved without the use of pesticides or electricity.

Optimal use of the H-trap:
It is very important that the horseflies are caught before they reach their prey. Therefore, look at the environment from where the horseflies fly. These are usually more humid areas (banks, ponds & forest edges).
Check at the location whether multiple H-stage placements are required *.
We recommend placing the H-trap early in the season (April), but certainly before the adult horseflies hatch.
Check the funnel every week, clean it with soap and water if necessary.
Place the H-trap at or near the animals.
If the H-trap does not catch enough, place the H-trap in a different position if necessary.
