F.R.A. Bit-less Bridle Isabel Side Pull Softleather Reins Brown
Brand:
F.R.A.
FRA bitless system 3: bitless bridles are not new! For centuries a bitless bridle was taken for granted, before it was ever thought of putting something in the horse's mouth, people simply put something around it. A rope as a halter was sufficient at the time and that is how the first bitless bridle was created. In combination with the supporting weight, leg and feeling aids, the rider's hand maintains contact via the reins, not with the mouth, but with the head of the horse. Working principle: pressure on nose and cheeks, direct reins. Construction: In system 3 we can also accommodate the various FRA® button halters in addition to the FRA® sidepull. Sidepull: The leather noseband of this simple bridle ends on both cheeks in a ring to which the chinstrap and cheekpiece are attached. The reins are attached to a second ring in the same place, which refines the reins. At an angle, a small leather strap connects the noseband with the cheekpiece even more, which keeps the noseband neatly in place and gives the rider the opportunity to exert pressure on the cheek.
Rope knot halters: Rope knot halters come in many variants and designs, the FRA® nh rope knot halters are characterized by a multitude of sizes in thicknesses 6, 7 and 8 mm. In addition to a basic version, the Babia, in 3 sizes, you will find a 6mm version, the Capal, in 5 sizes and a 7mm version, the Pablo, in 3 sizes. The last two versions are provided with a nubuck, resp. leather neck and nose protection and are aimed at professional use. The size of a button halter plays a very important role, the halter should connect to the horse's head without much play. Position: As with all bitless bridles, the side pull and button halter also have the noseband to lie on the hard part of the nose, approximately where the nasal bone begins. The chinstrap of the sidepull version may feel 'too' tight, but definitely not tightened. This is to prevent twisting of the bridle. Effect:Sidepull: Literally translated, the word sidepull means 'to pull sideways'. That is what this bridle does, moving the hand away from the neck (opening) has the consequence that the combination of the connection from the cheekpiece to the noseband via both straps and ring exerts pressure on the opposite cheek: twists. Asking for the reins (stops) results in a discriminatory relief of pressure on the nose, resulting in tempo changes and/or halt. This, of course, in combination with other supporting aids. The bridle lends itself to normal lunging only with the use of lunging glasses. The lunge goggles are hooked into the rings where the reins are normally attached. For lunging on the double lines and lunging pessoa, use the same rings. (available models FRA® pardoes and FRA® shango)
Rope knot halter: In general, the effect described under sidepull also applies to the rope knot halters. It can be stated that the low, central attachment of the reins greatly benefits the discriminating effect of the aids given. Button halters are not suitable for lunge work. (available models FRA babia, FRA® pablo and FRA® capal)
Suitability: The side pull and the rope knot halters are very good simple bridles for both rider and horse due to the direct effects. They are used in combination with light rein contact and are very suitable for sensitive horses. This makes the bridle particularly suitable for young horses to be ridden and sensitive animals with high blood pressure. The bridles are also very suitable for correcting 'spoiled' horses with fear of the rider's hand. The simplicity of the bridle also makes it suitable for the novice rider. Finally, the bridles provide great opportunities for outdoor, trekking and long-distance rides. All system 3 bridles can also be used as halters.
