Electrolyte mix for small livestock
Elektrolyte mixture for chickens, pigeons and chicks.
Complementary feed that can easily be dissolved in (drinking) water. Provides a balanced mix to supplement important electrolytes, bicarbonate and energy and supports digestion and a good moisture balance.
Electrolytes are particularly important during periods of elevated temperatures. Birds such as chickens and pigeons cannot sweat and will try to lose heat by panting and spreading their wings and feathers. In addition, the feed intake decreases and the animals are less acitve. An additional effect of panting is that the CO2 content of the blood will decrease, causing the blood pH to increase. To compensate, urine production is increased, causing extra losses of fluid, electrolytes and bicarbonate, thereby increasing the risk of dehydration.
In addition, electrolyes are important to support recovery from exercise or illness. These animals also have a need for supplementation of electrolyes due to reduces feed and water intake in order to stimlate feed and water intake and support digestion.
To be used in
Periods with increased temperatures
Support recovery after exercise or illness
Support of the digestion
For a good moisture balance
Support of feed intake, growth and egg quality Feed instructions
In addition to the drinking water:
At the first signs of discomfort in case of high temperatures (panting, spread wings) and to support recovery, dissolve 25 g per litre of water and provide freely. In addition to the electrolyte mixture, always provide sufficient drinking water in a separate water source.
Directly through the drinking water:
