Rapid prevention and control of corrosive lice. Advantage can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of skin inflammation due to flea allergy. Within 24 hours after Advantage administration, the fleas are killed.
The active substance in Advantage is Imidacloprid, with Butylhydroxytoluene (E321) and Benzyl alcohol as auxiliary.
Contraindications
Do not administer to kittens younger than 8 weeks of age.
Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Do not administer to dogs. Use the special flea control for dogs.
Side effects
Due to the bitter taste, the product may cause excessive speckles when the cat is at the application site immediately after treatment. This symptom often disappears naturally without treatment. Skin reactions such as hair loss, redness, itching and skin lesions are noted in very rare cases. Exceptionally, cats and nerve symptoms (incoordinations, tremor and depression) were also reported with cats. If you notice any serious side effects or reactions not listed in the leaflet, you should be advised to inform the vet.
Dosage and mode of administration
Advantage 40 for cats Advantage 80 for cats> 4kg body weight. 1 pipette corresponds to 0.8ml and contains 80mg of Imidacloprid and 0.8mg of E321.
The Spot-on fluid in the pipette should be completely empty on the skin between the shoulder blades. The fluid should be drawn in the skin and not immersed.
Caution: Do not overdose!
