Trust Bit Sweet Iron Pony Eggbut Locked 12mm

The pony bit is specially developed for ponies. The eggbutt bit is a standard jaw piece. The rings cannot move loosely so that the aid acts more directly and the bit is relatively still in the mouth. In addition, the bit prevents the lips from becoming jammed, so that bit rings are not necessary for this jaw piece.

The locked mouthpiece resembles a single broken bit but cannot fold as double as a normal single broken bit. When backpressed, the bit blocks, turning it into a rod and making it a sharper bit. With less pressure on the reins, the bit changes back to a single broken bit. This makes it an ideal bit for horses that are against the hand and walk through the hand. This bit is not suitable for an inexperienced rider.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) humidity that tastes sweet and stimulates the saliva production of the horse in a natural way. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-gray.
