Trust Bit Sweet Iron Loose Ring Bradoon Eliptical 12mm

A short snaffle is used in combination with a dressage bar, so there are two different bits in the horse's mouth at the same time. The rings of a short ring bit are smaller so that there is enough space for the operation of the dressage bar. The bar and snaffle combination is mainly used in higher dressage and is not suitable for an inexperienced rider.

The double jointed bit has two hinge points, is more shaped to the mouth and is looser in the mouth. This bit acts on the tongue, layers and corners of the mouth. Pay attention to narrow lower jaws, the hinge points can then press on the layers, which can cause wounds. Compared to a single broken bit, this bit acts more on the tongue. A double jointed mouthpiece is a standard mouthpiece.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) humidity that tastes sweet and stimulates the saliva production of the horse in a natural way. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-gray.
