The gag bit has two transverse bars on the jaw piece. This shape creates more pressure on the horse's cheeks. This makes a horse easier to maneuver and a bit cannot be pulled through the mouth so easily. In addition, this bit is quiet and stable in the mouth. The gag bit is ideal for young horses due to the pressure distribution or spirited horses to prevent the bit from being pulled through the mouth. With the TRUST snaffle bit, the bars on the jawpiece are slightly bent outwards so that they cannot come into contact with the side of the horse's head. It is therefore important that you hang the bit in the mouth with the bars pointing outwards, so that they cannot cause wounds. The locked mouthpiece resembles a single jointed bit but cannot fold in half as a normal single jointed bit. Back pressure blocks the bit, turning it into a rod and making it a sharper bit. With less pressure on the reins, the bit changes back to a single-jointed bit. This makes it an ideal bit for horses that are against the hand and run through the hand. The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and stimulates the horse's saliva production in a natural way. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits into brown-grey.
