Pestigon Flea Treatment Spot-On Cat

Pestigon Spot-on Cat fights fleas and ticks in cats older than 8 weeks and / or heavier than 2kg.
This package contains 4 pipettes.

Duration of action fleas: 4 to 6 weeks.
Duration of action ticks: 4 to 6 weeks.

Pestigon Spot-on is an effective treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations. Within 48 hours after application of the product, Pestigon penetrates into the top layers of the skin. Here the agent forms a basis against contamination from fleas and ticks. If the cat does have a tick, remove it with ticks.

The active substance in Pestigon is Fipronil, with the excipients Butylhydroxyanisole and Buthylhydroxytoluene (E321).
As with other products, the environment should be treated separately. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy against flea-induced allergic dermatitis, if previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Contraindications
Do not administer to cats less than 8 weeks of age.
Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
Do not administer to sick or convalescent animals.
Do not administer to rabbits or dogs as this may result in incorrect dosing.

Side effects
Coat discoloration, hair loss, itching and locally greasy or clumped hair can be observed at the application site. This will disappear within 24 hours.
If the product is licked up, a short period of excessive salivation can be noticed.
If serious adverse reactions not listed in the package leaflet are observed, the veterinarian should be notified.
Use during pregnancy or lactation: Contact the vet for advice before administration.

Dosage and method of administration
- Pestigon Spot-on Cat for cats from 8 weeks. 1 pipette corresponds to 0.5ml.

The spot-on liquid in the pipette should be completely emptied onto the skin between the shoulder blades. The liquid should penetrate gently into the skin and do not massage.
