Pavo WeightLift is the ideal forage product to help thin or senior horses regain a healthy body condition.

Some horses are difficult to keep in condition: they lose weight and their musculature decreases. Feeding extra concentrate is often not the solution. Pavo WeightLift is free from grains, molasses, soy, and beet pulp, but high in fiber and protein. This helps support your horse’s condition recovery. A major advantage of Pavo WeightLift is that it can be fed both dry or soaked.

In perfect condition

With its high content of essential amino acids and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, Pavo WeightLift provides your horse with all the essential building blocks needed for good muscle development and overall condition. Combined with high-quality protein from alfalfa and energy from natural, highly concentrated rice bran, it improves body condition. In addition, the rice bran and linseed oil help give a shiny, healthy coat. Due to its low sugar content, Pavo WeightLift is safe for horses with laminitis, EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome), or insulin dysregulation.

Sugar- and starch-sensitive horses

More and more horses are sensitive to high sugar and starch levels. When these horses lose weight, Pavo WeightLift can support them in regaining condition without disrupting glucose metabolism, muscle metabolism, or the digestive system. Pavo WeightLift is grain-free, so the starch comes not from grains but from rice bran. Starch from rice bran is digested more slowly and, compared to cereal starch, has a more limited effect on blood glucose levels. It is a valuable and highly digestible energy source that contributes to your horse’s condition recovery.

Supports healthy digestion

Pavo WeightLift is a small, fiber-rich pellet, mainly due to the high amount of alfalfa. The high fiber content supports overall digestion. When fed dry, it encourages thorough chewing, which stimulates saliva production—a natural buffer for stomach acid. It also contains brewer’s yeast, which has a positive effect on gut flora.

Tip: add a balancer or a concentrate to ensure your horse receives the daily required vitamins and trace elements.

Pavo WeightLift can be fed dry or wet. Wet: mix 1 part WeightLift with 2 parts warm water. Soak for approximately 20 minutes.
