Hard to put on, even...

Hard to put on, even harder to get back off. Ideal for my horse that is outside 24/7 and needs protection. Every so many weeks, I had to buy new boots because the velcro failed (seam came off the boot, part of the velcro tore off,...), while the bell itself was still in order. Then I bought these, without a closure, hoping they will last longer. Despite being very difficult to put on, it is not hard plastic but flexible rubber. So they fold around a bit when my horse walks through tall grass or on changing terrain, etc., so it seems to bother him less than “plastic” jumping shoes. He has been wearing them for a week or two and they still look great, no cracks or anything like that. Recommended if you don't have to put them on and off every day.

Not practical to put on...

Not practical to put on and take off regularly. Not elastic enough to pull over the hoof easily. Hoped this would work well, because it was easy to clean and less chance of chafing because there is no velcro on it, but unfortunately I had to return it. However, suitable if you want to leave them on 24/7, not to put them on and take them off often.
