Milbactor Milbactor Small Dog/Puppy > 0,5kg

Milbactor 2.5 mg / 25 mg tablets for small dogs and puppies weighing at least 0.5 kg.

In dogs: For the treatment of mixing infections by adult flat or tapeworms (Cestodes), Roundworms (Nematodes). The veterinary medicinal product can also be used to prevent heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis), when concomitant treatment with Cestoden is indicated.

Dosage and administration:
For oral use. The animals must be weighed for an accurate dosage.
Minimum recommended dose: 0.5 mg Milbemycin Oxime and 5 mg Praziquantel per kg are administered orally once a day. The drug must be administered with or after some food.

Depending on the body weight of the dog, the practical dosage is as follows:

Small dogs and puppies 0.5 - 1 kg: ½ tablet.
Small dogs and puppies> 1 - 5 kg: 1 tablet.
Small dogs and puppies> 5 - 10 kg: 2 tablets.

In cases where prevention against heartworm disease is applied and where at the same time treatment against tapeworm is required, the veterinary medicinal product can replace the monovalent veterinary medicine for the prevention of heartworm disease.

Repeat interval: The product can be administered several times before treatment with an interval of one week.

Deworming schedule
Puppies can be dewormed at 2 - 4 - 6 - 8 weeks of age, then monthly until they are half a year old.
Dogs from 6 months on average worming 4x a year.

Note: Do not overdose!

Contraindications:
Do not use the tablets for small dogs and puppies in animals less than 2 weeks old and / or weighing less than 0.5 kg.
Do not use the tablets for dogs on animals weighing less than 5 kg.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or (one of) the excipients.

Side effects:
In very rare cases, systemic symptoms (such as lethargy), neurological symptoms (such as muscle tremors and ataxia / uncoordinated movements) and / or gastrointestinal symptoms (such as vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite and drooling) have been observed in dogs after administration of the combination from Milbemycin Oxime and Praziquantel.
