When you get home, check yourself, your family members and animals to see if there is a tick running over the body or maybe it has already been bitten. If a tick is not yet attached, you can grab it, crush it and throw it away. If a tick is stuck, remove it with a special tick removal card.

Character removal card
A character remover card is a handy character remover the size of a bank card. It has two notches in one of the corners: one for adult ticks and one for the very little ones (nymphs). You can also remove wasp or bee stings with this small notch.

The advantage of using the tick removal card is that the tick is not compressed or twisted during removal. These actions can irritate a tick, allowing it to empty its stomach contents into the bloodstream. This increases the chance of transmitting diseases.

For the same reason, the tick should not be anesthetized with alcohol or essential oil. Once the tick has been removed, you can clean the area with a drop of All Septicum.

It is good practice to save ticks that have been bitten and to record the date and place where your animal contracted this tick. If symptoms appear that may indicate borreliosis or another condition, the tick can be examined and registered as an additional examination.
