Product Description
Psyllium Husk consists of fibers that can absorb up to twenty times their own weight in water. This makes the intestinal contents softer and more voluminous and makes the intestinal passage easier. However, Psyllium Husk can also be used for loose stools, because psyllium helps to thicken them. In addition, the agent has a mild intestinal cleansing effect and promotes digestion.

Because we like to go for the best from nature, we have chosen organic quality psyllium fibres. One of the other quality differences with Psyllium is the difference between the seed of the plant and the seed cover, or the 'husk'. These husks have a stronger effect than the seeds. However, they are also more expensive because the husks require an extra processing step to get a good product.

The husks are stronger because they contain much more dietary fiber than the seeds. The seeds are more similar in effect to linseed. Due to the large presence of mucilages (both in the seed and in the husks), it helps to facilitate the intestinal passage.

How to use?
Cats and dogs up to 10 kilos: 0.5 scoop through the food once a day
Dogs 10 to 25 kilos: 1 scoop through the food once a day
Dogs 25 to 40 kilos: 1.5 scoop through the food once a day
Dogs from 40 kilos: 2 times a day 1 scoop through the food

1 scoop Dog & Cat = 2.2 grams

Giving Psyllium Husk is best over wet food. Mix the above-described amount of Psyllium Husk with some water and mix with the food. Do not leave the food but offer it immediately, because the binding effect of Psyllium Husk starts immediately. Less water can be used when applied against too thin stools. Always provide plenty of fresh drinking water!

Psyllium husks (also called flea seed) refer to the seeds of a plant from the plantain family. The most commonly used plant for this is the plantago ovata. The effect of the plant is based on the presence of a lot of dietary fibers and mucilages. It is naturally completely gluten-free and can be used as a probiotic to support intestinal health and indirectly strengthen the immune system.

Stool : Psyllium fibers are bulk-forming, which means they have a special double use: they help
soften stools and thicken stools that are too thin.

Cleaning the intestines: Flea seed has a mild cleansing effect on the intestines. Together with Trias Omega it can be used to remove sand from the intestines.

Details and interactions
There are no known contraindications for this drug. It is, however, not recommended to take psyllium fiber with medication at the same time, because psyllium can reduce or delay the absorption of medication. It is also important to ensure that sufficient water is used when ingesting the fibers in case of colic and to promote good bowel function.
