Vitamins and minerals top up the diet

Healthy into autumn and winter

Horses spend more time in the stable, fields get wet and the grass provides fewer nutrients. That puts extra demands on your animal’s airways, immunity and skin. With the right supplements and care products, you can support your horse, dog or cat through this season. If you have any doubts about your animal’s health, always consult your vet. Ordered before 21:00, shipped today.

Everything for your animal’s health

In our pharmacy you will find supplements, care products and over-the-counter veterinary medicines for horses, dogs, cats and other animals. Below are the main categories with a short explanation, so you can quickly find what you are looking for. If you have any doubts about your animal’s health, always consult your vet.

Airways, immunity and digestion

During the stabling season, your horse’s airways have to deal with more dust. Take a look at products for respiratory support and inhalers. For the change to winter you will find immune support, and for a healthy gut digestive support.

Vitamins, minerals and oil

When there is less grass, vitamins and minerals top up the diet. Linseed oil provides omega-3 fatty acids for a glossy coat, and under herbs and garlic you will find natural additions.

Movement, muscles and hooves

For a horse that moves freely, take a look at joint support and muscle support. After training, cooling products help, and for strong hooves you will find hoof support.

Skin, coat and wounds

Wet fields can lead to mud fever. Under skin and coat care you will find mud fever cream, among other things, and under wound care ointments, sprays and bandages.

Behaviour, organs and hormones

For a calm and relaxed horse, take a look at behaviour. You will also find organ support, and products for hormonal balance and fertility. Shop the entire horse pharmacy.

Dogs and cats

Protect your dog and cat with wormers for dogs, wormers for cats and tick and flea control (also for cats). We also have joint support, skin and coat care and ear cleaners. Shop the dog pharmacy and the cat pharmacy.

Livestock and small animals

We also have a pharmacy for other animals: cattle, including udder care, sheep and goats, poultry and small animals.

Frequently asked questions about the pharmacy

About supplements and care

What is the difference between a supplement and a veterinary medicine?

A supplement is an addition to the diet and supports, for example, the airways, joints or digestion. A veterinary medicine is registered for the treatment or prevention of a condition, such as a wormer. You can recognise veterinary medicines by the registration number on the packaging.

When should I see the vet?

Supplements and care products are no substitute for a vet. Contact your vet if your animal seems ill, has a fever, is not eating, is lame or if symptoms do not improve quickly. If in doubt, always check first.

How often should I worm my dog or cat?

That depends on your animal’s age, lifestyle and risk. Worming at least four times a year is often recommended. Always follow the package leaflet and your vet’s advice, and choose the right wormer for your animal’s weight.

How do I support my horse’s airways in the stable?

Make sure the stable is well ventilated and as dust-free as possible. Soak or steam hay, choose low-dust bedding and let your horse spend as much time outside as possible. You can also support the airways with a supplement.

What can I do about mud fever?

Keep your horse’s heels and pasterns as clean and dry as possible and do not let it stand in mud for too long. Carefully remove scabs and use a mud fever cream or ointment to care for the skin. If it does not improve or gets worse, call your vet.

Can I combine different supplements?

Often you can, but watch out for overlapping ingredients. Some substances, such as selenium, are harmful in excessive doses. So read the ingredients and dosage instructions carefully and consult your vet if in doubt.

Discover the benefits of animal pharmacy products

Animal pharmacy products offer a wide range of solutions designed to support the health and wellbeing of your animals. Whether you’re caring for horses, pets, or livestock, these products can address various needs, from recovery after trauma to maintaining optimal health. Many items in this category are formulated with natural remedies for animals, ensuring safety and effectiveness for long-term use. With options that include supplements, lotions, and mineral blocks, you’ll find solutions that cater to both acute and chronic conditions. These products often feature essential minerals, soothing ingredients, and user-friendly applications, making them suitable for both experienced caretakers and those new to animal care. By integrating these items into your routine, you can promote a holistic approach to animal health, addressing not just immediate concerns but also long-term wellbeing.

How natural ingredients contribute to animal health

Natural ingredients play a vital role in many animal pharmacy products, offering benefits that are trusted by professionals and hobbyists alike. For example, some products incorporate extracts like arnica montana and ruta graveolens, which are known for their positive effects on muscles, joints, and circulation. These ingredients can help animals recover from stress or physical strain, making them ideal for equine care and pet health solutions. Additionally, items such as Himalaya salt blocks provide essential minerals and trace elements that support overall wellbeing. The use of natural components ensures that these products are gentle yet effective, catering to animals of various ages and conditions. By choosing products with carefully selected ingredients, you can address specific health concerns while minimizing risks such as side effects or incompatibility with other treatments.

Practical applications for different types of animals

Animal pharmacy products are designed to be versatile, catering to the unique needs of horses, pets, and livestock. For equine care, many solutions focus on joint support, muscle recovery, and stress relief, ensuring your horse stays active and comfortable. Pet owners often look for remedies that are easy to administer, such as drops or lotions, which can be applied directly or mixed with water. Livestock caretakers benefit from products like mineral supplements, which enhance the health of their animals while being simple to use. The flexibility of these products allows them to be tailored to individual animals, whether addressing acute issues or providing ongoing support. Additionally, many items are compatible with other treatments, enabling a comprehensive approach to animal health. By understanding the specific needs of your animals, you can select the right products to ensure their wellbeing.

Tips for optimal use and maintenance of products

To maximize the effectiveness of animal pharmacy products, it’s important to follow best practices for application and storage. Many products are designed for easy use, with clear instructions that guide you through the process. For example, drops can often be administered directly into the mouth using a plastic syringe, while mineral blocks can be hung in accessible locations. It’s recommended to avoid combining treatments with meals, as this can impact absorption. Additionally, proper storage is crucial for maintaining product quality. Items should typically be kept in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, and within recommended temperature ranges. Regularly checking expiration dates ensures that your products remain safe and effective. By adhering to these guidelines, you can provide consistent care for your animals while extending the lifespan of the products you rely on.
