What is in DarmBalans?
Licorice root: Friendly to the stomach and intestines.
Milk thistle seed: Supports the cleansing function of the liver

Saccharomces cerevisiae: Probiotics from yeast, stabilizes the intestinal flora.

Feeding advice
For optimal support of the intestinal flora, first feed a high dose of DarmBalans for 1 week, followed by a low dose for 3 weeks after which evaluation. Do not give more DarmBalans than recommended due to the bentonite content.
DarmBalans is suitable for horses of all ages and can be used with pregnant mares.

You will find a measuring cup in the packaging. One full measuring cup contains 100 g DarmBalans.
Current weight Daily dosage
Pony 150-350 kg 2 x 30 - 70 g per day for 1 week, then 2 x 15 - 35 g per day for 3 weeks after which evaluation.
Horse 350-600 kg 2 x 70 - 120 g per day for 1 week, then 2 x 35 - 60 g per day for 3 weeks after which evaluation.
Horse > 600 kg 2 x 120 g per day for 1 week, then 2 x 60 g per day for 3 weeks after which evaluation.
How long to give?
DarmBalans is a supplementary dietetic feed to stabilize physiological digestion, in case of risk of digestive disorders, during and after such disorders. Initially feed for a maximum of 4 weeks, after which evaluation. Because a horse's digestive tract is very complex, it is important to give the intestines time to regain their balance.

How many kg do you need for a complete "cure"?
For a 250 kg pony:
1 week: 2x 50 g per day
3 weeks: 2x 25 g per day
= 1.75 kg

For a 500 kg horse:
1 week: 2x 100 g per day
3 weeks: 2x 50 g per day
= 3.5 kg
