Some horses are sensitive in the mouth but respond well to aids via the nose. Other horses can become excitable or strong on course, meaning extra refinement in communication is welcome. In such situations, a combination of mouth and nose action can be a valuable solution.

The TRUST Flexi Soft Hackamore Combi Short – Inno Sense was designed to provide exactly that balance: comfort in the mouth, combined with the additional influence of a hackamore.

The mouthpiece – Flexi Soft
The Flexi Soft mouthpiece is unjointed and made from high-quality synthetic material with a flexible metal core. This allows the mouthpiece to hold its shape while remaining exceptionally flexible and gentle in its action.

The soft, even action makes this mouthpiece particularly suitable for:

• Horses with a sensitive mouth
• Young horses in training
• Horses that easily pull back behind the bit

Thanks to its comfortable nature, the Flexi Soft mouthpiece supports relaxation and acceptance, without any sharp or jointed action.

The cheekpiece – Hackamore Combi Short
The Hackamore Combi Short cheekpiece combines the action of a hackamore with that of a bit. The action is distributed over:

• The mouth
• The nose
• The chin (via the curb chain)

Thanks to the shorter shanks, this version has a more subtle leverage effect than longer variants, making it a well-balanced choice within the hackamore-combi category. The adjustable screw above the mouthpiece makes it possible to fine-tune the nose action precisely to the individual horse's needs.

This construction can be particularly effective for:

• Enthusiastic or strong horses on course
• Horses that respond better to aids via the nose than through the mouth alone
• Situations where more closure and refinement are desired

The material – Inno Sense
Inno Sense material has been carefully developed and extensively tested, is free of harmful substances, and contains no plasticizers. It feels significantly softer than metal and is readily accepted by many horses with a sensitive mouth. Thanks to the combination of flexibility and comfort, the material supports a relaxed jaw and better acceptance of contact, even in horses that traditionally struggle with metal bits.

Suitability
The TRUST Inno Sense Hackamore Combi Short with Flexi Soft mouthpiece is particularly suitable for:

• Sensitive but strong horses that benefit from extra control while retaining softness in the contact
• Mouth-sensitive horses
• Enthusiastic or strong horses in jumping or eventing
• Horses that respond positively to additional nose action
• Combinations seeking extra control while retaining softness

The bit offers a well thought-out pressure distribution that can help with specific training challenges, while comfort and acceptance remain central. For riders wanting an even softer action on the nose, the noseband can optionally be fitted with fleece or Vetrap padding.

Hackamore combinations are not permitted in all disciplines and levels under FEI rules. Always check the most current FEI and national competition regulations.
