Trust Bit Sweet Iron Pony Eggbut Jointed 12mm

The pony bit is specially developed for ponies. The eggbutt bit is a standard jaw piece. The rings cannot move loosely so that the aid acts more directly and the bit is relatively still in the mouth. In addition, the bit prevents the lips from becoming jammed, so that bit rings are not necessary for this jaw piece.

The single-jointed bit has one hinge point, which means that there is less pressure on the tongue than with a double-jointed mouthpiece. A single joint mouthpiece acts mainly on the layers, the side of the tongue and can also act on the palate. A single joint mouthpiece is considered a standard mouthpiece.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) humidity that tastes sweet and stimulates the saliva production of the horse in a natural way. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-gray.
