Too small despite the scrupulous...

Too small despite the scrupulous respect of the measurements indicated on the site and those of my mare taken by the Farrier! Very disappointed and also by the return costs!

Nice shoe

Unfortunately, I ordered a size too small for my horse. She is a 1.65 year old kwpn with not very big feet but an M was just too tight (and she just got cut) But besides that really nice shoe! Looks nice and sturdy. So I just haven't been able to use it yet so I don't know if it will stay in place properly.

Unsuitable for my purposes

I wanted the shoe to protect my horse's hoof in case of iron loss. Unfortunately it doesn't fit that way.

Easy to put on

We use these hoof boots in the trailer around the rear hooves to prevent slipping. They are easy to put on and work well. But they also go out a little too easily in case of slight missteps.

Very useful while waiting for the marshal

It's not a hipposandal, but in case of iron loss, this shoe is perfect for staying in the box or paddock while waiting for the marshal's visit, especially for the price.

Is the shoe waterproof? so you can use it to water your hooves?

It is a rubber shoe. Since the shoe has 2 holes at the back, namely at the buckle to fix the shoe, water will probably get into the shoe when watering.

What is the dimensions lxw for the 2 smallest sizes please? 00-S doesn't mean much to me

The (00) -XS measures 10cm by 11cm. The (0) -S measures 11cm by 12cm.

If the hoof shoe can be used over an iron, which size do you take: the same as your iron or 1 size larger than the iron

It is not recommended to use the Shires Hoof Boot Black in combination with a horseshoe. The hoof shoe is intended to protect the hoof in case of iron loss, for example.

Can you use them for a ride (on the road) and trot with them?

We do not recommend this article for road trips and not for trotting. It is a shoe that protects the foot in the event of iron loss, but it is not an iron replacement. cordially
