It is important to protect the sensitive parts of the skin. This is not only important in the summer with a lot of sun, but can also be necessary in the winter on a sunny winter day. With horses, not only a pink nose or a marking on the head are extra sensitive to sunburn, but markings on the legs and the pasterns can also get sunburned.

Sun Protector contains both a UVA and a UVB filter. UVB rays penetrate the upper layer of your skin and cause your skin to produce pigment for protection. UVB rays cannot penetrate glass, clothing, or clouds, but they can cause sunburn if you stay in the sun for too long. The 'B' in UVB stands for 'burn'. The 'A' in UVA stands for 'aging'. These rays penetrate deeper into the skin and cause skin aging, sun allergies, or pigment spots.

Sun Protector has an SFP (Sun Protection Factor) of 30. This means that with SPF 30, you can stay in the sun '30 times longer' than without sunscreen. This only applies if you apply sunscreen regularly, at least every two hours.
