PharmaHorse Magnesiumglycinate

PharmaHorse Magnesium consists of 100% Magnesium Citrate. Magnesium contributes to multiple functions in the horse's body. Magnesium, for example, has a positive effect on the functioning of the nervous system and the mineral is good for the state of mind. In addition, Magnesium is good for the ability to concentrate and plays a role in the maintenance of flexible muscles and the maintenance of strong bones.

Magnesium Citrate or Magnesium Glycinate?
In addition to Magnesium Citrate, Magnesium Glycinate is also available. Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Citrate are both organic Magnesium compounds. Magnesium glycinate is bound (chelated) to two molecules of the amino acid Glycine. As a result, the Magnesium is seen by the body as an amino acid and will only be absorbed in the small intestine by means of amino acid receptors. Magnesium citrate is more likely to be absorbed by the body in the gastrointestinal tract. For horses that have difficulty absorbing nutrients or have a severe Magnesium deficiency, Magnesium Citrate may not be sufficient. We then recommend Magnesium Glycinate.

Dosage:
Pony (± 300 kg): 0.5 scoop per day
Horse (± 600 kg): 1 measuring spoon per day
