Can this also be used to make a jacket waterproof again?

We are not aware of whether this conditioner is suitable for coats. Perhaps this product is more what you are looking for A1069303.

About how much of this do you need to waterproof 1 blanket?

Experience shows that you need about half a bottle to make a horse blanket waterproof again.

The difference between the Rug Wash and the Rug Conditioner is that the Wash ensures that the blanket is cleaned properly and that all properties, such as waterproofness and breathability, are retained. The Rug Conditioner is specially intended for the Teflon layer that is on the outside of the Bucas blankets. This layer ensures that the blankets are dirt-repellent and ensures water drainage during, for example, a rain shower. If you wash your blanket regularly and carefully with the Bucas Rug Wash, your blanket will remain waterproof, but the Conditioner ensures that the water does not remain on the blanket for too long, making it less heavy. The Conditioner therefore serves to maintain the outside of the blanket, the Teflon layer, and you can also use it after washing.
