Dosage
Unless a doctor or therapist prescribes otherwise, twice a day: Dog: 10–15 drops Cat: 5–10 drops 1 ml = 20 drops. Shake well before use. If it is difficult to administer this product several times a day in practice, once a day or once every two days is sufficient. In that case, give the maximum dosage for one day. This product can still be used effectively, but a response may take a little longer. When there is improvement, a maintenance dose can be used (usually half the indicated dosage). When adjusting the dosage, carefully monitor the animal's reaction. A higher dose may be necessary initially; this product can be safely given in double the dose. When improvement occurs, gradually reduce the dose to the lowest possible dose. Some animals may experience a brief worsening or other severe reaction at the start of treatment. In the event of a severe increase, halve the dose or stop temporarily and then gradually increase the dose again. Give this product directly into the mouth using a plastic syringe, diluted with a little water if necessary. Preferably not at the same time as a meal, as the product works better if it is absorbed by the clean oral mucosa. If the animal does not like this product, the drops can be given on a small piece of treat. If the cat does not accept the drops, place them on a warm spoon and allow the alcohol to evaporate. Then give the drops diluted with a little water or milk using a syringe directly into the mouth.
