Product description
L-lysine is an essential amino acid. Horses and ponys cannot produce L-lysine themselves, so it must be obtained through their diet.
Years of veterinary experience, combined with knowledge of Western and Chinese medicine, phytotherapy, homeopathy and orthomolecular medicine form the basis of the range of health products under the name Phytonics.
An extensive team of (veterinarian) doctors, acupuncturists and therapists follow the latest scientific developments in the field of animal and human health in the broadest sense of the word. This not only concerns condition and symptom management, but also includes social interaction, housing, exercise, nutrition and medication in the development.
It is our mission to develop and have these honest, safe, high-quality natural remedies produced for veterinary practice.
A number of products in the Phytonics range are available in veterinary (blue) and human (green) packaging. Launched in 2010 for animals, the demand for the same products for humans quickly arose. The contents are the same, only the labeling differs due to applicable regulations. In the future, we would like to simplify this and choose either a veterinary or humane label. Within the Phytonics series, all ingredients are human-grade. The phytotherapeutic products are suitable for any living creature. As a rule of thumb, sensitivity to these substances is the same for humans and horses, regardless of their weight. The dosage for adults is the same as for horses. The dosage for children aged 6-12 is suitable for dogs and cats. Of course, supplementation is also required as needed. Observe the animal's reaction to the drops carefully and adjust the dosage if necessary.
Unless a doctor or therapist prescribes otherwise, twice a day:
Pony 2 measuring scoops
Horse 2 measuring scoops
1 measuring scoop for horse and pony contains approximately 4 grams
If it is difficult in practice to administer this product several times a day, once a day or once every two days is sufficient. In that case, administer the maximum daily dosage. This product can still be used effectively, but a reaction may take a little longer.
Upon improvement, a maintenance dose can be used. This is usually half the dosage indicated on the packaging. When dosing this product, observe the animal's reaction carefully. A higher dosage may be necessary initially; this product can be safely administered in double the dosage. When improvement occurs, gradually reduce the dosage to the lowest possible dose. Some animals may experience a brief worsening or other severe reaction at the start of treatment. In the event of a severe increase, halve the dosage or stop temporarily and then gradually increase the dosage again. Can be administered with food. Moisten (for dry food) the food/powder so that it is not blown out of the feeder. (per 4 grams): 3550 mg L-Lysine HCI, 320 mg Vitamin C (as magnesium ascorbate), 70 mg Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCI), 35 mg Magnesium (as magnesium ascorbate).
