Product description
Pavo Foal Milk
Pavo Foal Milk is an excellent alternative to mare's milk. It is specially developed for foals that no longer have a mother or whose mother does not produce sufficient milk.
Pavo Foal Milk is fully adapted to the specific composition of natural mare's milk. In this way, it meets the needs of orphaned foals. Foals raised on Pavo FoalMilk develop normally and are just as good as foals that are kept with their mare.
Is cow's milk also suitable for foals? Mare's milk has a special composition with a lot of sugars. Cow's milk differs significantly from mare's milk and is therefore less suitable for foals.

Application
Do not prepare more foal milk than you need per half day.
It is best to warm up the already prepared foal milk 'au bain-marie' or keep it warm.
(Au bain-marie is heating in or above a warm water bath. Take a pan or a bowl with a minimum capacity of 1 litre and place it in or above a larger pan of hot water. Heating in a bain-marie prevents curdling or burning.)
The foal milk can also be heated using a microwave
To prepare 1 litre of foal milk proceed as follows: (1 litre = 1000 ml)
Take a pan with a capacity of at least 1 liter
Add 300 ml of cold water
Top up with 400 ml of boiling water.
You now have 700 ml of water at a temperature of approx. 60 °C
Add 1 measuring spoon (= 100 grams) of Pavo FoalMilk powder and stir until all the foal milk replacer has dissolved
Add 300 ml of cold water whilst stirring. You now have 1 litre of lukewarm foal milk replacer (temperature of approx. 40 °C)
You may warm up Pavo FoalMilk using a microwave.
