Psyllium seed is a natural supplement that supports the digestive system of horses. Its fiber-rich structure helps promote natural bowel function, supports the removal of sand, and contributes to maintaining healthy manure consistency.

Psyllium contains soluble fibers that form a soft, gel-like mass in the intestines. This gel supports natural intestinal movement and aids digestion and transit.

The standard dosage of 50–100 g per day is usually given as preventive support, for example once every 2 months.

A higher dosage (about 100 g per 100 kg body weight) can be given for 7–14 days when additional digestive support is needed, for example after extended periods on sandy ground or when sand accumulation in the intestines is suspected.

Psyllium can be fed dry or mixed into a wet mash. When feeding wet, add the psyllium just before feeding, as once it becomes moist it will immediately absorb water and form a gel-like mass.
