The boot design uses a four-layer system, each chosen for its unique properties:

• First layer: Perforated EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate), sits comfortably against the leg. The perforations allow heat to escape and promote breathability, while the flexibility of the material allows it to conform to the horse’s leg.
• Second layer: Strong nylon mesh. This prevents debris from reaching the horse’s leg.
• Third layer: Internal guard made from vinyl – a strong, durable, and moisture-resistant material. This layer is placed over the vulnerable tendon area and is made with strips to allow it to mold around the horse’s leg.
• Fourth layer: Outer EVA waffle layer. Commonly used in shoe soles and as padding in sports equipment, this material is durable, breathable, and protective. It is also easy to clean and maintain.
