Product description
Psyllium-Rich Mash for Sand Clearance
- Supports the removal of sand and intestinal function
- Palatable mash with whole psyllium seeds
Clear & Relief is a structured and highly palatable mash consisting of 50% whole psyllium seeds. It is rich in fiber and mucilage to support the removal of sand from the intestines. The mash contains all the vitamins and minerals a horse needs, making it suitable as a temporary replacement for (part of) the concentrate feed. The pre- and probiotics support gut flora and promote digestion.
When to use Clear & Relief or Psyllium Seeds?
- Does your horse regularly stay in a paddock? Horses may unknowingly ingest sand by eating short grass or hay, or deliberately eat sand out of boredom.
- In case of sand in the intestines
- When your horse is kept on a pasture with short grass (sandy soil) or in a paddock
- To support healthy intestinal function
- If pure psyllium seeds are not readily eaten
Administer a course of Clear & Relief or Psyllium Seeds at least 1–2 times per year for regular sand clearance. On a sandy paddock, a monthly course is recommended.
Feeding Advice
The indicated amount of Clear & Relief is a guideline for supporting the removal of sand from the intestines. Feed for 7 days and preferably repeat monthly for optimal sand clearance. Clear & Relief must be mixed with sufficient (lukewarm) water at a ratio of 1:4 (Clear & Relief : water). Mix thoroughly, allow it to swell adequately, and then feed to your horse. For optimal effectiveness, do not mix the mash with other concentrate feed. Clear & Relief is suitable for horses of all ages and can also be used for pregnant mares.
