Hartog Lucerne Pellets are made from the leafy part of the lucerne plant. A small amount of molasses is used during the pelleting process. As lucerne naturally contains very little sugar and starch, Hartog Lucerne Pellets also remain very low in sugar and starch – even lower than average hay.
