Protection provided by the Tri-Zone Tendon Boots
The boot design uses a five-layer system, with each layer selected for its unique properties:

1. First layer: Perforated EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) with lining, which sits comfortably against the leg. The perforations allow heat to escape and promote breathability, while the flexible material molds to the horse’s leg.
2. Second layer: Strong nylon mesh prevents any debris from entering the boot.
3. Third layer: Internal guard made from vinyl – a strong, durable material placed over the vulnerable tendon area and designed with strips to allow it to mold around the horse’s leg.
4. Fourth layer: EVA waffle. Commonly used in shoe soles and as padding in sports equipment, this material is durable, breathable, and protective. It’s also easy to clean and maintain.
5. Fifth layer: Strategically placed vinyl strike guards along the vulnerable tendon area for maximum protection.
