Beaphar Anti-Myiasis (Ivermectin 0.05%, skin spray, solution for rabbits and guinea pigs to prevent Myiasis (flystrike).
Myiasis in rabbits and guinea pigs is mainly caused when faeces or urine remains stuck to the rear. This attracts flies to lay their eggs. The maggots that hatch eat through the skin and can cause blood poisoning or infections, which may lead to death within 24 hours.
Note: this product kills the eggs and maggots of the fly that causes Myiasis, but not the adult fly. Use of Anti-Myiasis is recommended during the period when the green bottle fly is active. Depending on weather conditions, this is usually from April to November. If you observe maggots on the animal, contact a veterinarian immediately.

Directions for use
Instructions and dosage:
Remove any faeces and ensure good hygiene in the hutch. Spray the correct amount (see table) onto the rear of the animal. Start under the tail / between the hind legs. Then spray from the tail to the middle of the back. Bathing may reduce the effectiveness of the product.

Treat monthly during the period when the green bottle fly is active (usually April to November depending on weather). Do not repeat treatment within 4 weeks.
