The scythe blade is not super sharp and it takes a lot of time to get it sharp with a whetstone. On the other hand, the scythe blade, after tightening properly, is firmly in the tree, although I also use a piece of flat steel with a slot that goes over the wings of the wing nut.

Very nice scythe to use. Fits nicely in the hand and is easy to use. The handles sometimes need to be reattached.
