What an invention this Smartex blanket is! Portable from fall to spring and no more hassle with changing blankets because the horse is too sweaty from work. I've had this blanket for 10 years and it's still just as waterproof as when I bought it. I have all three horses under a smartex extra. Because of all weathers, they are outside under these blankets and never, really never, did I get them out of them wet or cold.

Good quality, good fit, sewn inner lining makes the blanket much thinner and lighter, but still gives the same warmth. Well waterproof. Small flaw, inner lining sticks to the coat at the beginning. It does improve with time. But this makes it more difficult to quickly put the blanket properly and I think this disturbs the movements.

This blanket has been going on for several seasons now. The blankets are durable and really cannot be broken. I really love it. I have them for several horses and the fit is good for all of them. For my Frisian, the chest is a bit tight, but it is doable. Ideal to use for horses that do not have a real stable, such as with the shelter. If it rains after driving they can just put on their blanket and sweat out underneath. That's why I find it really practical.
